As you probably know by now the original models of the Xbox 360 are a complete disaster. At some point in their life, they seem to get the fatal red ring of death error. What causes the Red Ring of Death anyway?
The RROD in a nutshell, is caused by massive amounts of heat generated from your 360 while you are playing. The console was not sufficiently designed to handle this kind of heat, and the solder on the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) will break, causing games to freeze, checkered lines to appear and ultimately the dreaded Red Ring of Death.
